It will remove all obsolete or outdated files and data in the directory that may be causing the issue. Here's how:
  1. Turn the phone off.
  2. Press and hold the following three buttons together, Power, Volume Up and Home.
  3. Release the buttons once the Android system menu appears.
  4. Use the Volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition option.
  5. Press the Power button to confirm selection.
  6. Select Reboot System Now option after deleting the cache. Wait for the phone to reboot.

Step 3: Perform Factory reset
However, after all the methods you performed and the app still crashing, then, the last option that you can do is to do a reset. Meaning, you have to create a backup in all your important files and data because all will be deleted once you start following the steps. The good thing is, this procedure is much more effective compared to the previous ones you performed on your phone. Here's how:
  1. Turn the phone off.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up,Home and Power buttons at the same time until you see the Android on screen.
  3. Use Volume Down to highlight the 'wipe data/factory reset' option and press the Power button to select it.

Wipe the System Cache Partition

As a matter of fact, this type of issue is common not just on S3 users but to other high-end android devices as well. So, the best thing that we can do now is to figure it out the real problem by doing some troubleshooting procedures on your device. To do so, here are the methods that we suggest you to perform:

Step 1: Reset Facebook App
Like any app-related issue it is imperative that you should eliminate first the suspicion that corrupt cache and data triggered the error message to appear on the screen. Through this method, your Facebook app will be back to its default settings and newer caches and data will be generated after resetting the app.

  • From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  • Tap Settings.

  • Press the Power key to select it.

Step 4: Reset your Galaxy S3
Since, all procedures failed to resolve the issue the last option that you can do is to reset your phone. This will bring your phone back to its factory default and your files and data saved will be erased. Nothing to worry about these methods because these are designed and very effective in dealing with this kind of problem. Here are the solutions that you should do:

Step 1: Reset the Settings App
What I mean on resetting is to clear the cache and data of the Settings app. You have to bring the app back to its default settings and the files and data will be wiped out. So, this time, I'll walk you through in troubleshooting this issue to help Galaxy S5 users that had been bugged and complaining about this issue. We want you to do the step by step that we often providing to other users to determine all the factors that might causing your A5 to freeze. Don't worry, these methods will help you find the solution and fix the issue without bringing your device to the tech. That being said, here are the steps that you should perform:

Step 1: Run your phone in Safe Mode
In this method, we have to determine if there's a culprit affects the system and triggered the issue. While in this mode all your third-party apps will be disabled temporarily and only the pre-installed ones left running. Meaning, this won't the issue of the device, instead, it will only give you an idea if there's an app triggered it. To begin with, follow these steps:

  3. When the device logo screen appears, release the Power key.
  4. When the Android logo appears, release the remaining keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30-60 seconds before showing the android system recovery menu options).
  5. Press the Volume Down key several times to highlight 'wipe cache partition'.
  6. Press the Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume Down key to highlight 'yes' and press the Power key to select it.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
After you do so, observe closely and see if the issue still happening. If the problem still persists, then, move over to the next method.

Step 3: Backup all your files and reset your phone
Remember, you can do this method on your phone if all previous procedures you performed failed to resolve the issue. Unlike to wiping the cache partition and safe mode, this one is more complicated because you need to backup everything to avoid from wiping it out. But the good thing about it, this method is very effective especially in dealing software-related issues. 

When you finished backing up all your files, try to disable the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) to avoid your phone from lock-out.

Here's how to disable your Factory Reset Protection
  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Cloud and accounts.
  4. Tap Accounts.
  5. Tap Google.
  6. Tap your Google ID email address. If you have multiple account setups, you will need to repeat these steps for each account.
  7. Tap Menu.
  8. Tap Remove account.
  9. Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT.
Here's how to reset you Galaxy A5
  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Down, Home and Power keys at the same time.
  3. When the device logo screen appears, release the Power key.
  4. When the Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30-60 seconds before showing the Android System Recovery menu options).
  5. Press the Volume Down key for several times to highlight 'wipe data/factory reset'.
  6. Press the Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume Down key until 'Yes-delete all user data' is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power button to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.
  10. Press the Power key to restart the device.
