Quick fix on Samsung Galaxy S3 "Unfortunately Gallery has stopped" error
Mostly, this type of error message appears if the files and data of device had been corrupted or outdated that resulted the issue to occur. In this post, I'll discuss the same problem and walk you through in troubleshooting your device so that we can determine the issue and fix it. Don't you worry, this is just a minor problem and you can easily fix it without any help from the tech. Here are the methods that you should do:

Step 1: Reset your Gallery app
The reason that we have to do this method is to delete all app's files and data so that newer ones will be created. As a matter of fact, we received tons of reports from other users saying that after performing this procedure the error message is not anymore showing. Here's how you do it:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap More.
  4. Tap Application manager.
  5. Swipe left and find ALL tab.
  6. Scroll to and tap Gallery.
  7. Tap Clear Cache.
  8. Tap Clear Data.
  9. Tap OK.
After resetting it open again your app and observe if the error message still appears. If so, proceed to the next method.

Step 2: Reset your phone
In this method, all bugs any culprit that creates conflict to the system and triggered the issue will be removed from the system. Meaning, the device will be back to its original form and all files and data in the internal storage will be deleted including your contacts, photos, videos and music. But the good thing is, if this is just a software-related issue there is a big chance that this will be resolved.
  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu button.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Tap on Accounts tab and choose Backup and Reset.
  4. Tap Factory Data Reset.
  5. Tap Reset Device.
  6. Touch Delete All.
