Here’s a quick guide for you to use Facebook app on your Galaxy S5 and start posting updates, read posts from your friends, upload videos, photos and check-ins and more activities with mobile Facebook access.

Download and Install Facebook App on your Galaxy S5

First thing you need to do, prior to using mobile Facebook is to download and install the app from the Google Play Store. The following steps will walk you through the entire installation process of the application.

  1. Tap on Play Store from the Home screen.
  2. Touch the Search icon next.
  3. Type "facebook" in the search field to initiate Facebook app search from the Play Store.
  4. You will then see the results list. Locate and touch to select Facebook from the list.
  5. Touch Install to proceed with installation of the app.
  6. Touch Accept to accept terms and conditions.
  7. Wait until the download and installation is done and then touch Open. Doing so will launch or open the Facebook app on the phone.
Touch Apps and then tap on Facebook, to open the app from the Home screen.

Sign In to your Facebook Account via Phone Settings

You can use your phone's settings menu to sign in to your Facebook account. Here's how:

  1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.
