This content is aimed at helping users of Samsung Galaxy Nexus, who are trying to set up their phone for Internet.

If you are among those who need help, this guide will help you get through the entire process.

You will have to set up or configure your phone's APN settings, in order to use it for Internet. The APN (Access Point Name) is used to create a data connection on your device. Please note that APN settings may vary depending on the network carrier or service provider.

Follow these instructions:

1. Get to the APN settings:
  • Tap the Menu icon from the Home screen.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Select More... from the given options.
  • Scroll to and tap Mobile networks under Wireless & networks.
  • Tap Access Point Names.
2. Create a New Data Connection:
  • Tap the settings icon located on the bottom-right corner of the screen, represented by a three-vertical-dots icon.
  • Select New APN.
3. Tap Name to enter a name or set your data connection name, then tap the OK button.

4. Tap APN and configure APN settings.

Hint:
You may need to contact your service provider or carrier, to verify your APN settings. If you already knew it, key in your APN and press OK.

5. Enter country code by tapping MCC, then type in 272. Press OK to continue.

6. Enter network code by tapping MNC, then type in 01. Press OK to continue.

7. Choose Authentication type by tapping Authentication type, then select PAP.

8. Choose APN type by tapping APN type. Just enter or type in default, then press OK to proceed.

9. Now save and activate data connection with the following steps:

  • Touch the Settings icon located at the bottom-right corner of the screen. It's the one represented by three vertical dots.
  • Select Save.
  • Tap the field next to your newly created data connection name, to populate it with necessary entries.

Once you're done, return to standby mode by pressing the Home icon. Your phone is now set up for Internet.
